Singapore, 14th May 2007 – Rainie Yang, together with director Zero Chou, will be coming to Singapore on 29 May 2007 to promote her first movie in a leading role, SPIDER LILIES.
Rainie would be arriving in Singapore by EVA Air (BR225) at 12pm. She will kick start the series of promotional activities at 3pm with a press conference at The Fullerton Hotel where she will interact with Singapore media on her role in this movie.
Following, Rainie will be at Bugis Junction to select the winners of the SPIDER LILIES tattoo competition and present the prizes. This event starts at 6:15pm and shortlisted finalists will get to show off their tattoo and explain why they had chosen the tattoo design or what their tattoos mean to them. The finalists will win prizes worth more than S$3,000 and also a once-in-a-lifetime chance to have their photos taken with Rainie!
At 8:45pm, Rainie will grace the Singapore gala premiere held at The Cathay Cineplex located at 2 Handy Road. A charity screening in aid of AWARE will also be held in conjunction with the premiere. Details of the charity screening including the sale of tickets will be announced later this week.
Rainie will leave Singapore the next day on 30 May (BR226) at 1:10pm.
In this movie, Rainie Yang plays the role of Jade, a webcam girl who visits a tattoo parlour to look for sexy decoration to excite her clientele. She requests for a spider-lily tattoo similar to one framed at the tattoo parlour but the female tattoo artist, Takeko (played by Isabella Leong), is reluctant to accede to her request. Visiting Jade’s website, Takeko finds out that she is a webcam girl but does not realize that they knew each other 10 years ago when Jade had a crush on her.
